I created Yoga to Flatten the Curve during the early days of the pandemic as a way to support students and their yoga and mindfulness practices when our world began shutting down. It was also an effort to bring light to a heavy topic.
Teaching and practicing online was our way of caring for ourselves and one another, work towards flattening the COVID-19 curve and collectively practice ahimsa. (go us again!)
In yoga philosophy and ethics, ahimsa invites us to cause no harm to any living being - including ourselves - in action, thought and speech. When we care of ourselves in this way, we can authentically show up for and care for one another.
With Yoga to Flatten the Curve, I’ll invite you to bring your attention to breath, move in a way that’s nourishing, reconnect with your inner spirit and peace, and cultivate a compassionate and curious relationship between the mind and body.
Let’s share a practice and flatten that curve together.
I offer yoga, meditation and breathing practices for individuals, groups of friends or colleagues, with kids or just for kids, customized to your schedule and needs.
Visit my CLASSES page to book some mat time and my VIDEOS AND AUDIO page for tools to support your practice on and off the mat.
PS - As a student first and foremost, I’ve been practicing yoga for 12 years, and have been teaching for 5 years to a wide range of students and abilities. My teacher, Suddha Weixler, encourages us to investigate where our breathing is coming from in all asanas and you’ll see a hint of that in my teachings too. I’m devoted to studying all aspects of yoga and using these tools to build my practice based on unity, liberation, equity, and accessibility…not just for comfort and ease. I’m also an athlete , so I get the urge to be curious about our edges and abilities, but I do love carving out time to slow down, rest, listen, reset…and smile.
Thank you for being here, and I look forward to sharing a practice with you soon!
